Kindness, generosity and an unselfish heart are qualities that make Brinkley a very special dog who inspires Laura to tell his stories. He has an inherent wisdom and understanding of what's truly important in life. He owns her heart and continues to be the light of her life. Brinkley, Laura and Carl enjoy spending lazy dog-day afternoons living in Northern California.

Book 1 The Beginning

I have been an artist since childhood. I received an MFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, and my art has been displayed in many exhibits throughout the country. Although I have illustrated books before, this project with Laura and Brinkley is most exciting and alive. I live and paint in a wilderness cabin in Alaska with my fuzzy companion.

Rex Barker is a gifted painter who finds inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding his beachside cottage. Throughout his career, he has created hundreds of beautiful works of art that are enjoyed by children around the country. This is his first book working closely with animals. "Everything I know about dogs, I learned from Brinkley!"

Janet Meadows has always had a passion for Photography and Art. She is inspired by life and creates Artistic LifeStyle images meant to touch a person's soul. She creates most of her work in her beautiful Natural Light Studio, located in Healdsburg, California where she lives with her husband and two children.

Bethany Argisle communicates a message of love through her company, Argisle Enterprises, Inc. (AEI). She mentors clients in self-publishing their own projects, projects that have a strong inspirational message and endure in a competitive marketplace.

Jessica Brunner has played the part of AEI's executive assistant, editor, project manager, office manager, friend, and confidant. Currently her efforts are focused on editing client manuscripts and working with Laura on future Brinkley Books.

Tina Davis, met Bethany in the 1970s, and they have been friends and business associates ever since. Tina handles all of AEI's financial records and acts as a business advisor and sounding board.

Robert Bergman, diversified in sales, marketing, and getting the job done no matter what. Robert, in his spare time, enjoys teaching children martial arts.

Albert Howell is director of production, specializing in graphic design, typesetting for print media, website management and multimedia.
